Does your entertainment system have wooden doors, or would you like to mount your components in a closet? Without a clear line of sight infrared (IR) signals from a remote control will not reach the equipment. We have the answer. Our remote control repeater kit contains all equipment necessary to remotely operate 4 components (expandable to 12 components) using your standard remotes. Mount the IR receiver in a central location and connect to the IR distribution block. This block repeats the signals through emitters to your electronic components. Your components may now be mounted in your entertainment center, closet or another room! The kit is self-contained and easy to connect.

With this kit, you may mount a receiver in a convenient place on or near your entertainment system. The receiver has a 9 foot cable that is then attached to the repeater system that is mounted in your entertainment cabinet. The kit includes 4 emitters. These emitters are connected from the repeater system and placed over the IR receiver of the equipment.

The IR receiver and IR repeater have blinking blue LEDs to confirm receipt of the IR signal; the IR repeater is designed for mounting on shelf or wall. You can use your existing remotes for simple installation and hookups. Packaged for resale.

For your convenience, the AC/DC Adapter (#98025) is available for this item. To order this replacement part, please call us at 1-800-506-9607.

Please Note: Careful consideration must be used when placing the IR receiver near a plasma display. Since a plasma display emits IR frequencies during use, it may cause interference. At this time, the ATT U-Verse cable boxes are not compatible with the C2G, formerly Cables To Go, IR Receiver Kit. The product team at C2G is working hard to find a solution for this issue and will update you as soon as possible. Replacement components may be ordered online: 10ft Infrared Receiver with 3.5mm Plug (#98045), 10ft Single Infrared Emitter Cable (#40432) and 10ft Dual Infrared Emitter Cable (#40433).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works as advertised...sort of I bought this for use in a large storage unit with a loft. I have a second set of speakers up there and wanted a way to control volume from the receiver downstairs (under the loft). Packaging, simplicity and, despite others' comments, to the point instructions, seemed to meet my needs...until I hooked it up the way I intended - power to the switched outlet on my receiver. The box was powered but the repeater appeared not to be accepting a signal - as evidenced by the lack of the blinking blue light. Double checked. and it was hooked up correctly. Figured I would box it up and return but decided to plug in to a wall outlet and it worked as advertised - nothing more, and slightly less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good unit Just some unpublished info for all; As with most of these type devices, you can parallel connect 2 of the receivers and then control your home stereo/theatre system from two different rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Choice This product was perfect for my situation. I hung my 52" LCD on the wall but didn't want any other equipment to show. I hid the Satelite box and Blue-Ray DVD in an adjoining closet behind the wall. I'm sitting about 25 feet from the TV and everything works just perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK - here's the deal with this. It must be DIRECT wired to the Infrared Remote Control Repeater base unit. This wall plate takes the place of the mini IR receiver that is included with the base unit. You will need to run a cable from the back side of this plate to the base unit. An Ethernet cable works fine as the connection instructions call for two twisted pair to be used. Installed as intended, it works flawlessly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite there purchased to control my uverse cable box to a flat screen tv on a bedroom wall. cable box was in closet and wired thru wall to tv. ir receiver was passed thru wall using a 1/8" stereo plug and then a plug to plug cable to ir box. found best operation by using the 2 emitters attached to uverse. Sometimes requires multiple trys to change a channel. Controller to tv for on off or volume works without a hitch every time. Just ir to uverse box via repeater is inconsistent

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Took persistence to get it to work! System includes a Sony Blue-ray, Motorola Satellite receiver and a Harmon Kardon AVR210 System worked with the Satellite box immediately, but I could not get the Harmon Kardon receiver to work with the supplied emitter. I called tech support and they did not have any recommendations. Based on a tip on a website, I tried plugging directly into the IR in on the HK with a cable I use to plug my iPhone into my car stereo. Now I have the whole system working!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great This was used in a commercial setting for a lunchroom TV. The cable box was hidden above the T-Bar ceiling and only the TV is visiable on the wall. System works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I mounted my plasma on the wall in the family room and moved all my A/V equipment into the basement below it. The 40430 extends the remote to the basement with minimal lag time. A/V Receiver, DVD Player and Cable Box (FIOS QIP 6416) all work well. I have the IR receiver under a bookcase so the remote control range is reduced but I am sure this would not be true if the receiver was out in the open.

Questions & Answers

I have two of item #40430 and each will sometimes have the Blue light flicker. Not brightly but somewhat dim. One of the units now is blinking brightly all the time and I have trouble getting the cable box to respond. Do you have advice ?

Asked by: Marty
Mystery SOLVED ! C2G send me a new receiver and I installed it with same issue as before. One day I noticed that whenever I picked up my cellphone the blue light went totally OFF. Apparently the phone puts out a IR to sense when a hand is near to activate the Clock. If I just turn the phone face down problem solved. WOW !!

The remote from My Onkyo TX-NR414 receiver makes the LED on the ir receiver and the block flash. The onkyo turns on and off with remote in same area but not with the repeater. Any trouble shooting tips.

Asked by: Gassy
Make sure you move the repeater around to try different positioning. The LED should flash blue when recieving signal. If you are still having issues, please contact support.

I'm looking for an IR extender that is compatible with a Cisco Explorer 4640HDC set-top box which operates at 57 kHz. The cablebox manual notes that Cisco part # 1004648 can be plugged directly into the 3.5mm IR port on the back of the cablebox and power is supplied via the stereo plug. Is your Dual Band IR Receiver (part # 98045) a suitable replacement for the Cisco receiver (i.e., can it be plugged directly into the IR port of the cablebox without the need for a connecting block)?

Unfortunately this part is only compatible with our part number 40430. This can not be used as a direct connection with any cable box.

I would like to plug the wall adaptor in the switched receptacle of my receiver. But if I plug the other end in the status plug the repeater doesn't work ,the green led lights up but no blue led with the remote. Do I need 2, 12 volts source?

Asked by: Anonymous
You can still connect this to the reciever you would just need to connect the power adapter to the 12v.
