This was exactly what I needed, at a great price.
Used to bring sound from TV's earphone jack to small, high quality speaker next to parents arm-chair. Parent had difficulty understanding speech on TV's speakers on the other side of the room, ...but mini-jack extension cord with speaker allowed parent to understand speech perfectly well, with speaker close by. And volume could still be controlled by TV remote.

Got 2 but unusable due to severe audio distortion
Left messages for customer service but after one voicemail returned from the company nothing more transpired. I was hoping to find out if there is an adapter to reduce signal noise at this length or was it a faulty couple of units. Other purchases have been flawless so this was a surprise.

GREAT LENGTH and SOUND
I bought this for my Father who is 87 and watches tv quite often. It helps him hear much better with his headphones than wireless and is a longer cord for more mobility. The headphones also save my sanity as He lives with me and I don't have to listen to the tv all day.

12 ft M/M Audio Cables great!
I use my laptop to project images in class. If there is a sound track associated with the pictures (you-Tube use for instance) my computer speakers are woefully inadequate to project the sound. The classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors with sound capabilities. This very flexible and strongly-made cable is perfect for my uses and the cable tucks into my carrying case without adding weight or bulk. Love it!!

We use this cable in our classrooms to convert a portable boombox with an "Audio In" jack, into a loud speaker system to replace old, unusable and expensive speakers

The 3.5mm cables carriy analog signals. For digital audio, you want to consider S/PDIF or TOSLINK cables like part numbers 40112 and 40389.
